We’ve just finished a full rebuild of the Celaro beta (2.0) making it faster, more stable, and better looking than before. This update isn’t just about fixes. It’s about setting things up so Celaro can grow and handle everything we’ve got planned for the future.
What’s New
Here’s what’s landed in this release:
- Focus Mode Timer — Keep track of your deep work sessions.
- Links in Tasks — Add URLs right into your tasks.
- More Upload Options — You can now upload more than just images.
- Extra Task & Stage Settings — More ways to organize your work.
- Client Support — Link projects directly to clients.
- Mentions Everywhere — Mention projects and stages in any text editor.
- Branch Name Regeneration — Quickly re-generate branch names.
- Custom Icons — Choose icons for board lists and statuses.
- New Sidebar — Cleaner and easier to navigate.
First Steps with AI
We’ve started adding AI into the app.
It’s basic for now, but the goal is for AI to eventually become one of the main ways you use Celaro. This is just the first step.
General Improvements
We've made some general improvements:
- Smoother and cleaner UI.
- Better keyboard navigation in tasks.
- Create labels right from a task.
- Icon pickers instead of emoji pickers.
- Comments now use the same editor as descriptions.
- Notifications moved into a new Inbox with improvements.
New Sync Engine
We’ve made big changes here:
- 95% of the app now works local-first.
- Navigation is faster and more seamless.
- Built with offline mode in mind for the future.
- Real-time collaboration is quicker, more stable, and more predictable.
Important Information for All Users
With this rebuild, we’ve made some changes to how you access Celaro:
- The new version of Celaro is now live at beta.celaro.co.
- The old version is still available at old.celaro.co.
Because this update changes so much of the underlying structure, we weren’t able to automatically move your data over.
You’ll need to manually transfer your projects, stages, and tasks into your workspace in the new app.
We know this is a little extra work, but Celaro has been through such a fundamental rebuild that this approach was the clearest way to give you a fresh, stable foundation moving forward.
Next steps
From here, our focus is on getting the beta into shape for its next chapter. That means fixing every bug we come across in daily use, making sure the entire app can be used smoothly with just a keyboard, and refining the AI so it feels natural and genuinely useful. Once we’ve reached that point, we’ll be ready to turn the page and move Celaro into its next stage — integrations, daily planning, resource management, time tracking, forecasting and much more.
