It doesn't get much more satisfying than this.

At the core of Celaro’s structure is the Board View, and for good reason. We’ve gone with a classic Kanban layout, not only because it’s what we’ve always gravitated towards (shoutout to our Trello days), but because it just works. It’s a simple, effective way to move tasks between statuses and track progress.

Let’s break it down.

01 Columns

The board is built around columns, each one representing a status that a task can be in. You’re free to name these however you want, right from the top-left corner of each column.

To help give more clarity at a glance, you can assign a status pill to each column. It’s a small label that shows what stage the column represents. But more importantly, it helps Celaro understand the role of each column so the right actions can be applied in our future workflows.

A solid starting setup could be:

  • Todo (Pill: ⚪ Not Started)

  • In Progress (Pill: 🟣 Started)

  • Done (Pill: 🟢 Completed)

Of course, you can add as many columns as you need and label them however it fits your workflow.

02 Drawers

Inside each column, you’ll find drawers, which work like folders. Drawers let you group related tasks within the same status. How you group them is totally up to you.

We often use them to organize tasks by priority, but you could also group by sprint, feature, client, or whatever makes sense for your project.

And just like folders, drawers can be expanded or collapsed. This helps you keep your workspace clean and less overwhelming when things start to pile up.

03 Tasks

Finally, we get to the actual tasks.

Tasks live inside drawers, and you can move them seamlessly between drawers and columns as your project progresses. The drag-and-drop experience is smooth and intuitive because moving tasks shouldn’t be a task.

Each task card shows just the right amount of info:

  • Task name

  • ID (auto or custom)

  • Priority level

  • Labels

  • Assigned users and reviewers

All visible directly on the board, so you don’t need to open each task just to get the basics.
